So mags, how long did it take you to do this piece? What challenges did you come across making this video? What is your favorite part of the video.....effect ect?

So mags, how long did it take you to do this piece? What challenges did you come across making this video? What is your favorite part of the video.....effect ect?

It took about a month and a week because I had to plan it out so I wouldn't have to go back and make some huge changes which could cause me to miss the due date.

I think one of the challenge for me was actually putting myself out there and saying hey, I want to participate in this project over at AMV.org. Sure its easy to get into, but for someone who never really got to be in one, I was scared shitless pretty much and it was big for me lol.

As for technical challenges, it was definitely the ripping and cleaning of the footage. I've never used Anime before and I'm so used to using footage that is de-interlaced out of the box, like movies and whatnot. I was surprised at the amount of problems I had de-interlacing it. Also editing the song so that it was short, the original idea was gonna be about a minute or so but then there was still too much "blank" in there so I cut it down even more. Took about two days...ugh...but I tried.

There really wasn't that many effects in this video, as usual...not gonna lie, I just had to try those blurry transitions that Zam used for his Shackles of Fate, totally inspired by those. My bf suggested it wasn't Xmas-y enough, and suggested I add snow or something in there, so that's what I did in the end, made it snow a bit. Which was easy. And Clay helped as well with his, not Xmas-y enough suggestion to.

My favorite part was the "And May your troubles be miles awayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy, ohh ohoho". I don't know, I just really liked that part lol. Effects, weren't really any, but I guess overlays, I love doing overlays, don't think I'll ever grow out of it.

Ive always wanted to cosplay Link from The Legend Of Zelda, but never got around to finishing it... Just made the normal clothing and a part of the shield. I dont even have the gloves u.u
